Feature Listing (New/Changed)
─────────────────────────────
The Table of Contents function has been enhanced for Grouped Reports (i.e.
spreadsheet format reports that have Grouping enabled on the first sort key)
to list the grouped value instead of the record name.
SIM Module Fields/Charts (New/Changed)
──────────────────────────────────────
<None>
WAM Module Fields/Charts (New/Changed)
──────────────────────────────────────
The field "Software Copies" has been added to the Inventory database. It
returns the number of copies for software inventory items.
The field "Inventory Comments" has been added to the Inventory database.
Bugs Fixed By This Release
──────────────────────────
The Report Scheduler was allowing 20 characters for Page Number Prefix and
Suffix in the Included Reports sections, but it was only saving the first
10 characters.
The filter pick list for "Product Name" for software was not able to build
a list with version 1.3 of the WAM. This has been fixed.
The chart "Logical Drives" in the PC Configuration database was not reporting
information for logical drives that were the same as the DOS Last Drive.
When used as a filter condition, the field "Network Address" in some
databases would not return the correct result.

There was a small problem with the Volume Information chart if you were on
a NetWare 386 file server and were using the LSG.NLM, causing some volumes
to not be reported.
The Report Scheduler was not processing all information for MHS Mail output
devices, even though it was really saving the data.
The chart "Resource Utilization" for the File Server database was sometimes
displaying volume disk space with percentages less than that requested, due
to an error in calculation of free space as a percentage. However, the data
displayed for disk space in use was correct.

WAM Module Fields/Charts (New/Changed)
──────────────────────────────────────
The field "Network Type" now returns the network type correctly.
The charts "Alerts Generated", "File Audit Summary", and "File Audit
Contents" have been added to the PC Configuration database.
The field "Node Name" is not capitalized anymore.
The administration user-defined-fields (UDFs) are now available in the
Inventory database.
Bugs Fixed By This Release
──────────────────────────
There was a small bug in editing descriptors for group names, bindery
property names, and DOS environment variables names. If you typed in the
value instead of picking it from the list, it would show asterisks instead
of letters.
There was a small bug in decoding NetWare 2.2 rights masks.
The "Password Exceptions" field and chart in the SIM module have been
slightly modified to fix two minor bugs.

"Advanced Memory", "Audit Information", "Basic Memory", "CD ROM",
"Communication Ports", "DOS Information", "Fixed Drives", "General Machine",
"LAN Driver", "Logical Drives", "LSL Information", "NetWare Configuration",
and "Video Display".
Bugs Fixed By This Release
──────────────────────────
There was a small problem when setting a filter for a category name in the
Inventory database, which caused the filter to never be TRUE.
╒══════════════════════════════╕
│ Version 3.1c JUN 1, 1993 │
╘══════════════════════════════╛
Feature Listing (New/Changed)
─────────────────────────────
All non-printable characters included in text files (like page ejects, tabs,
etc.), are now replaced with spaces.
Drive letter support has been added to file output (when using Run To... in
report edit mode, or when specifying a device for a report in a schedule),
to allow creation of output files on other file servers.
Supervisor-equivalence is no longer required to access the Node Manager and
Alerts options on the main menu.
Descriptor handlers have been added for picking File Audit and String Audit
Names for WAM databases.
SIM Module Fields/Charts (New/Changed)
──────────────────────────────────────
The field "Trustee Grant Command" has been added to Trustee Assignment
Database. This field is the correct syntax you would use to grant the
trustee assignment from the command line (useful if you are creating a batch
file to restore trustee assignments in the event of a server failure).
The field "Trustee Type" in the Trustee Assignment database has been changed
to return "Group" instead of "User Group" for group-type trustees.
The chart "Volume Information" in the File Server database (SIM Module) will
now report information for 386 file servers that don't have LSG.NLM loaded.
The field "Last Login Time" has been added to the User Database.
Filter pick lists have been added for the following fields in the Report
Configuration File Database: Report Format, Database Type.
Some of the 386-specific charts which utilize the LSG.NLM have been slightly
modified to enhance readability.
WAM Module Fields/Charts (New/Changed)
──────────────────────────────────────
The fields "Node Type", "Last Login Date", "Last Login Time", "Node Audited
Since Date", "Node Audited Since Time", "Node Last Changed On Date", "Node
Changed On Time" have been added to all WAM Databases.
The fields "Alert Date", "Alert Time", "Acknowledged Date", and "Acknowledged
Time" have been added to the Alerts Database.
Filter pick lists have been added for the following fields in WAM Databases:
Node Type, Node Name, Download Status, Download Errors, Country Code, Mouse
Language, Mouse OEM, Mouse Driver Type, Bus Type, CPU Class, CPU Type, Math
Coprocessor Type, Display Adaptor Type, Dos Type, UMB Support, Remote Session
Manager, Drive Type, Boot Prom Type, File Audit Name, Manufacturer, Vendor,
Product Name, and Node Address Type.
The "Boot Drive" field has been modified to support Boot Proms.
Bugs Fixed By This Release
──────────────────────────
There was a small problem when setting a filter for a volume name field, in
which the volume name was not getting capitalized.
If an alert had not been acknowledged yet (WAM Database), selecting the field
"Acknowledged By" would contain meaningless names instead of <N/A>.

Feature Listing (New/Changed)
─────────────────────────────
If you are on a file server that supports NetWare 1000, prior versions of the
console reported <NOT-LOGGED-IN> for username and had problems managing
connections. This release adds full NetWare 1000 support.
Depending on the modules you have installed, the database list is now
auto-sizing. Reports that were created for a module that is not present (for
example, if you have changed to a file server where the SIM module is not
installed) will not show up in the Report Config File listing.
The program now alerts you if the amount of available conventional memory
(0-640KB) is less than the recommended value. Therefore, when running the
console you will be warned of any potential low memory situations.
The Btrieve error messages have been enhanced, especially the errors relating
to invalid rights and file not found.
When previewing a File Server report, you are not prompted for Number of
Records To Preview any more. This is because there is only one record in a
file server report (the current file server).
The maximum length of text sort keys has been changed to 80. Previous
versions used the full maximum value for the sort key length, which could
result in a sort key that was too large (the total size of all sort key
fields has to be <= 255). For example, the maximum size of a directory name
field is 128, and the maximum size of an alert message is 255. The console
now limits them to 80 (for sorting purposes only). However, you can set an
environment variable BVMAXTEXTKEY=<num>, where num is the maximum length of
a text sort key field, if you have a need to do so.
More update messages have been added to the table of contents and glossary,
to give more information about what the program is doing.
SIM Module Fields/Charts (New/Changed)
──────────────────────────────────────
Added field and chart "Users Owning Disk Space" to the directory database.
This field/chart lists who owns disk space in the current directory.
Added chart "Effective Rights In Path" to the user database. This chart
details a user's effective rights for an entire path, which is the required
descriptor. This chart omits any directries where the user has no rights.
Added chart "Effective Rights In Path (All)" to the user database. This chart
details a user's effective rights for an entire path, which is the required
descriptor. This chart includes ALL directories in the path, even those where
the user has no rights.

Bugs Fixed By This Release
──────────────────────────
If you are using BTRIEVE instead of the Btrieve NLM/VAP and BREQUEST, then
you may have experienced a program error when accessing the Report Generator
option.
There was a small bug when trying to run a schedule from the command line for
additional servers, in which the report was run for the current server
instead. This error only occurred when using the FS= and RUN= commands on
the command line.
When a report is previewed for a printer with margins, and then printed, the
output report had the margins processed twice.
The field/chart "Station Restrictions" required that Accounting be installed.
Filters on date/time combination fields were not working with Relative Dates
(i.e. filters like "Last Login Date/Time > <TODAY> 12:00am").
Filters which had targets of greater than 255 characters were overwriting
memory. For example, filters like "User Name == MFOSTER|BKELLOGG|EPULASKI..."
where MFOSTER|BKELLOGG|EPULASKI... is the target. This error didn't occur
unless you used <F5> to pick lots of items for the filter.
The alerts database (WAM Module) was not able to filter (or sort) on fields
like Node Name, Node Address, etc.
When sending output to a DBF file, a nasty error would occur if the current
file server was not the same as the server you ran BindView from.
The fields "Disk Space In Path" and "Disk Space In Dir" for the user database
(SIM Module) were not including hidden/system files.
When a report had an error (for example, unable to open device), the program
would still try to output a table of contents and glossary, if specified.
When using Quick View, if you selected the PC Configuration option (WAM
Module), the file server name was included twice in the header line.
After installing a WAM Module from the Setup menu, the WAM options were not
appearing on the main menu.
When previewing in a Print Job Configuration report (SIM Module), the record
counters were not getting reset.
